This policy explains the information practices of Carne y Hueso (“Carne y Hueso,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for this website and related restaurant communications.

1. Scope

This policy applies when you visit carneyhueso.club, submit a contact or reservation request, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our restaurant. Services operated by other companies—including OpenTable, Instagram, map providers, and linked publications—are governed by their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, and telephone number.
  • Reservation details, including requested date, time, party size, status, notes, and the page from which a request was submitted.
  • Messages, event or private-dining inquiries, and other information you choose to provide.

Information collected automatically

Our server may record IP address, browser and device information, referring and requested pages, and the date and time of a visit. Essential local storage or cookies may be used to operate site features and remember preferences.

Information from others

When you use a third-party reservation, social, or mapping service, we may receive information that service provides to us under its own terms and your settings.

3. How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and process, confirm, manage, or troubleshoot reservation requests.
  • Provide restaurant services and communicate operational updates.
  • Maintain, secure, diagnose, and improve our website and systems.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use information submitted through our forms to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to hosting, email, reservation, security, analytics, and technical service providers that process it for us; to professional advisers; to a successor in a merger, financing, or sale; and to authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, or rights protection.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of people under 16.

5. Cookies and online tracking

The site may use technologies required for core functionality and may load content or links from third parties. Those third parties may collect device or usage information under their policies. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the web, so our site does not currently respond to them. Where legally required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device sending the signal.

6. Your choices

You may decline to provide optional information, although this can prevent us from responding or completing a requested service. You can control cookies through your browser and unsubscribe from promotional email using the instructions in the message. Operational reservation communications are not promotional.

7. California privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and subject to exceptions, California residents may request to know or access personal information, obtain information about its sources and disclosures, correct inaccurate information, or delete information. Residents may also opt out of a sale or sharing and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information when those practices occur. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

To submit a request, email contact@carneandhueso.com or call (619) 756-7545 and describe your request. We may verify your identity by matching information you provide with our records and may request additional information when reasonably necessary. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authority; we may also ask you to verify your identity or confirm permission directly.

During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected identifiers, internet or electronic-network activity, and reservation or customer-record information from you, your device, and service providers for the purposes described above. We may have disclosed those categories to operational service providers; we have not sold them or shared them for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing services, maintaining business and reservation records, resolving disputes, securing our systems, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and legal need.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system, however, can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children

Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, please contact us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
